According to WWE.com, both A-Train and Billy Gunn have been
released by the WWE. Their statement reads, "The WWE released A-Train and Billy Gunn from
their contracts today. We wish them the best in their future endeavors."
A-Train, who debuted in the the WW(F) in 1999 as "Prince Albert", was probably last remembered being traded from Smackdown
to RAW during the WWE lottery draft in March.
Gunn, who's been with the company for over 10 years, first showed up as one half of the tag team, The Smoking Gunns. He then
went onto a singles career as Rock-a-Billy before embarking on what most would say was the highlight of his career - being
a part of the successful duo, The New Age Outlaws, and joining DX. This year, Gunn was teaming with Hardcore Holly for a while,
but the two were never really able to establish themselves on Smackdown as a legit pairing.
From late September to
mid-October, reports circulated that Gunn had been experiencing trouble with management (with a rumor surfacing about rehab
after he'd been found passed out), so I guess his release isn't very 'out of the blue'. His next stop? Since the summer, when
Gunn showed up to visit friends at a TNA Impact taping, some speculated that he'd end up there if ever split from the WWE.

Over at WWE.com
again, the previous message about the above wrestlers being released has been updated with Test's name added now.
Last
that was heard of/from Test was that he underwent neck surgery over the summer. He was rumored to be fired beforehand, but WWE is, apparently, usually weary of releasing wrestlers while they're out on
injury.
